This has to be the season of unpolished politicians running for office. From Rand Paul to Christine O’Donnell there seems to be no limit to weird statements coming from their mouths. Paul said he would like to a second look at the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and O’Donnell’s statement about  dabbling in witchcraft  when she was younger has her addressing  it in a present day political ad. Then there is Carl Paladino and his latest statement about gay pride parades historically involving “Speedos and grinding against each other.” While you may think it Paladino; you can’t say it!  His statement, he said, was a warning to parents who might  consider taking their children to pride parades but wasn’t it really a jab at his opponent Andrew Cuomo who participated in a gay pride parade with his teenage daughters? Paladino has since apologized for his remarks but it seems so insincere. So dear mid-termers running for office, think before you speak because in this day of instant news you can be sure that what you say good or bad will be heard by all.
