We continually hear about jobs, jobs, jobs, but where are the jobs? I’ll tell you where, not here really; our manufacturing jobs have steadily declined. Could it be that today’s jobs use more machines and tools and not people? Let’s focus on machines for a second for example, robots. There are lots of companies that use robots; think about it, no health insurance and they don’t have worry about people calling out sick. In reading Steve Jobs’ Biography (Libergirl yawning) he mentioned how big businesses aren’t able to thrive here because of regulations and extra cost. He went on to mention how in China Apple employed 700,000 people plus 30,000 more engineers to assist the workers. My only point is it’s kind of weird when you look at the whole picture. It’s really not about America, it’s about survival, no matter who it is. Big business has really hurt more than it has helped. Look at the mantra, “If you need a job, create one.” Facebook followed this model and as much money as they make they really don’t employ a large number of people. I’m pretty sure the people they do employ make descent money. I’m just saying that technology is really hurting more than it’s helping and while it is making life easier and more pleasing fewer people are needed. Take a look at the Henry Ford model, probably the greatest model ever created. First he created a niche to fill a void. He didn’t ask people what they needed, he created it. He famously said, “If I would have asked them what they needed they would have said a faster carriage and horse.”
Secondly, not only did he create the vehicle, he created the factories to make and sell all the parts. What has happened to that business model? I’m not begrudging anyone’s accomplishments after all I am writing a post on WordPress. I hate to act like the spoiler but someone has to point out that someone is pulling the purse strings. I don’t believe in all the Illuminati stuff but I do believe unscrupulous men and women are making decisions that effect us. Look at the bankers, they couldn’t lose, they bet on good and bad loans and we still bailed them out. It goes much further than Repub or Dem. Think about when the Federal Reserve was created in 1930 then the Internal Revenue Service soon after, what took place? Yes, the great depression. I’m just saying it seems coincidental. Look at the inventor Nikola Tesla who created the alternating current(AC). He wanted to create free energy for the masses but When J. P. Morgan found out they defunded his project and destroyed what he was working on. Then to add insult to injury they accused him of being a loon. This story, of course, has lots of twists and turns and I’m only presenting one side of a story but it’s time we wake up and become a community once more. Big business isn’t going to change, it’s only going to become more powerful and only make government more intrusive in our lives. In case you’ve forgotten we have the patriot act so I’m not being paranoid. In the technological age big business has done more to hurt than help. How can we afford new technologies with no currency?
