My inner political junkie is coming out(stop hating NON-Conformist) so I’m kind of excited about tonight’s debate at the University of Denver. Obama was said to be holed up at a Las Vegas resort prepping while Romney, already in Colorado, practiced debate zingers. This strikes me as odd because aren’t zingers supposed to be spontaneous?

At any rate both camps are tamping down expectations that one man will clean up the floor with the other. There’s bound to be some snark though and it’s a good warm up for a coming smack down when Paul Ryan and Joe Biden debate next week in Kentucky. I do want Joe to clean up the floor with Paul Ryan, he took it easy on the Mama Grizzly because he’s a gentleman but no such courtesy needs to be granted to younger member of the white bread crew.

Let me say it here and now…

Romney please don’t tell jokes it’s too painful to watch…and please be who you really are! You are too rich to pretend that you are a middle, nay, lower class Joe. I’m going to forget that you let it be printed (in the Post) that you pop your own popcorn and stuff it in Anne’s purse before going to a movie. Please stop !!!

Obama you are my boy but don’t be too cocky… You, too, are no longer a middle class Joe. You really need to talk about all the good things you’ve done for the middle class things like the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and, yes, Obamacare.

I wonder what phrases/words will be used over and over e.g., “Are you better than you were four years ago?” We are sure to hear the words taxes, tax returns, health care, 47 percent, entitlements.

I just heard on the news that each candidate will only be allowed two minutes for each question so precision will be key.
