The family of a biker whose legs were broken hires celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred.
The wife of the driver of an SUV that was attacked and chased at high-speed by a band of motorcyclists in New York City says the couple and their 2-year-old daughter were in “grave danger” during the ordeal, the New York Daily News reports.
Alexian Lien, 33, was beaten and slashed Sunday by bikers who pulled him from his Range Rover after the chase on the West Side Highway.
The incident was captured on videotape by a biker wearing a helmet cam. It was posted on YouTube and has drawn more than 6 million views.
Lien’s wife, Rosalyn Ng, and their young daughter were in the car during the 4-mile chase. The New York tabloid says the statement — the first from the family of the driver — appears to have been written by Ng and released by the family’s lawyer.
“Our plan last Sunday was to celebrate our wedding anniversary by having a nice family day out with our two-year-old daughter,” the statement reads. “Unfortunately, instead, we were placed in grave danger by a mob of reckless and violent motorcyclists.”
