Former National Security Agency contractor Reality Winner has been sentenced to 63 months in prison for leaking privileged information to the an unnamed news outlet.

That sentence is the harshest ever administered to an individual for leaking to the media.

Winner, 26, admitted to wrongdoing at her Thursday morning appearance in an Augusta, Ga., federal court.

Authorities did not describe the contents of the leaked information nor did they name the media outlet that received the information.
