Have you ever watched World Wrestling Entertainment(WWE)? It’s almost as good as your favorite soap opera, complete with story lines and drama to boot. One story line was a family feud of some sort with Linda McMahon confronting husband Vince McMahon(in the wrestling ring) and ultimately kicking him in the groin. It was entertainment for sure but not so entertaining is Linda’s cash flushed campaign to win retiring Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd’s seat.  She has already spent more than $21 million and she plans to spend a total of $50 million and midterms are a little less than two weeks away. While it’s true that her opponent Richard Blumenthal embellished his service in Vietnam(he has since apologized), is this really enough of a reason to send Mrs.McMahon to Washington? She has enough money to run a very independent campaign that could set her apart but she is reading the same old talking points, one being keeping the Bush tax cuts. Any of us can study the issues and promise to work hard for the people but the proof to me is in actually serving the people and Blumenthal has done that as attorney general for the past 20 years.
