My heart goes out to Mitt Romney, he got beat by a two-timing, wife deserting blowhard who was run out of Washington by his own party. After Newt’s standing ovation at two separate debates in the NON-great state of South Carolina, I had a feeling he was going to win and he did. He’s been described by many as a master at turning your words on you(as he did to CNN’s John King) and one who is capable of tapping into the anger that’s smoldering in the hearts of most Americans. After Newt’s SIN I mean win, former South Carolina Congressman John Napier, who served with Gingrich, told the MSNBC panel that Gingrich has leadership qualities that transcend all of his other issues. WOW! Republicans just don’t quite know where they stand on morals. Morality in the sense of Newt really not having any. We get it, you were forgiven by God(not by your ex-wives though) and you’ve been a good and faithful husband to the blonde.
In spite of Romney being a vulture when it came to businesses, this falls far short of a moral issue in my opinion. He has every right to brag and say he’s been with the same woman for 42 years. Should a twice divorced man even be considered presidential material? True, people get divorced everyday but we all know the manner in which Newt got divorced.
But the subject of this post is really Mitt Romney and how he isn’t liked no matter how hard he tries. He’s wearing jeans on the campaign trail these days and trying to look like a regular working stiff(remember Al Gore’s stiffness) in spite of his billions. Silver spoons are coming out of all parts of his body because when you’re rich you really can’t pretend to be something you’re not: e.g., poor, or middle class or upper middle class. Which brings me to his tax returns; they seemed to have turned the tide against him in South Carolina and may do so in Florida. He now says he will release them for the last couple of years but he really needs to do so for the years when he was breaking up businesses and making a nice fee for doing so. Most Americans know how it works, some companies bring in a consultant to do what they can’t do. Someone has to have the dirt on their hands and at one point those hands belonged to Mitt.
I’m no Romney supporter but Newt race baiting ass does not need to be the nominee so Romney should get out ahead of this tax mess and stay that way. It’s not even thinly veiled racism from Newt either, he’s holding on to this food stamp president thing and I’m sorry but it has everything to do with the president being black. He accepted praise for putting Juan Williams in his place from a supporter in South Carolina. He even upped the ante adding, “I had an interesting dialogue Monday night in Myrtle Beach with Juan Williams about the idea of work which seemed to Juan Williams to be a strange, distant concept. Something worthy of study in an academic environment, but certainly not something to be subjected to young people.” MSNBC’s UP host Chris Hayes said the comment was so racist it made it him want to curse on air. So Newt you’re going to be that person…OK. You never saw George W. Bush campaiging on the backs of poor people and in spite of his insensitivity about Hurricane Katrina victims I still don’t believe he was a racist. He suffered more from apathy than anything else.
So Romney, it’s time to take off the gloves(no matter if they are high quality leather driving gloves) and fight Newt, join in with your campaign’s operatives in calling out the former speaker as the reckless and seemingly racist individual that he is.

When you’re hot…
I think The Newt’s gonna get the boot before it’s all over. If he gets the nomination, then we’ll REALLY know where we are with race relations in America. The people shall speak.
He’s hot alright…a hot mess…homeboy had a new haircut and all last night. Still a douche but the haircut made him look more human.
