Romney is showing how he really feels about poor people; he doesn’t. Whether his statement was a gaffe or not, that’s really besides the point. What matters is he made the statement. He’s now spent the past 24 hours or so back peddling on what he said. This also looks bad from another point of view, isn’t he a part of a religious organization? I guess he really doesn’t understand the poor, or simply ignores them.
“We wish you peace, love, and SOUL.” This was the signature sign-off that led us off into our Saturdays. Don will be remembered and missed for his exploits he shared with us on Saturdays. We understand later in life he was troubled and plagued with health issues. I choose to remember the handsome, dark complexed, well coiffed fro brother who was an entrepreneur who took a single idea and left an integral impact on black life and culture. Thanks Don; RIP.
The President is an opportunist, as well as anyone else. He poked jabs at Romney by quoting scriptures concerning the poor at his prayer breakfast on yesterday. The President chose to attack without making a loud noise. In other words he’s planning; calculating the next move.
We are embroiled in what we call football mania. Super Bowl XLVI is Sunday and I will be watching and cheering for the Giants after I drop my daughter off at college. This single game shows why we are in trouble financially as a country. The money and ad revenue to play this game is stupendous. Here’s a few facts to down slowly with that Johnnie Walker Blue Label(yes, pun intended).
*Average commercial cost $3.5 Million
*Tickets range from $2,500 to $220,ooo field suite
*Tickets range from $2,400 to 8,500 upper deck end zone
The Johnnie Walker Blue was on me, enjoy.
