The amendment, from Rep. Pramila Jayapal, co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, was adopted by the Education and Labor Committee during a markup of the drug bill last week. It would require HHS and the Treasury Department to submit a feasibility report to Congress by the end of 2021 on whether it’s possible to require drugmakers to refund money to employer-sponsored health plans if the manufacturers raise prices above the rate of inflation. The agencies along with the Labor Department would be required to issue regulations based on the report’s findings by the end of 2022.(SARAH KARLIN-SMITH,ADAM CANCRYN) Posted by The non-Conformist Share this:Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)MoreClick to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...
