This is much to do about nothing. You ask, what does he speak? The rapper/actor Lonnie Rasheed Lynn Jr., better known as Common was invited earlier this week to speak/read poetry at the White House. Sean Hannity talked about this twice on his program. On the first occasion he trotted out two black fellows one a Repub talk show host and the other a professor; so one gives Hannity a type of credence, especially if they agree with him. The information presented by Hannity about Common had it been in a court of law, he would’ve been guilty of all the accusations thrown his way. Let’s see… the burning of the President(George W. Bush), mistreatment of women, cop killing , supporting Rev Jeremiah. Later Hannity trotted out three more people: two white males and one white female. The female I’ve never heard of in a million years immediately said “who is this guy” speaking of Common. I will admit he’s not as well-known as Kanye or Jay- Z but he’s well-known within rap circles. What amuses me the most is how the panel tried to marginalize him. They hadn’t even sat down and listened and dissected the context of the lyrics which they quoted. They only pulled certain lyrics. Firstly, that’s lazy and dishonest. What do you expect? I will not call them racist; maybe blind. Look at how they destroyed the lives and careers of the Dixie Chicks. If musicians speak out on issues against the “Right” they’re considered to be leftist nut jobs. Yet the “Right” can have Toby Keith sing about women’s butts and in the same vain sing praise the flag. What about the coward draft-dodging Ted Nuggent who also sings the praises of the flag but didn’t want to fight for it. Common is known as a conscious rapper which hurts his record sells yet it gives him respect as a proletariat of the community. Didn’t Fox interview Common about being a positive influence as a conscious positive rapper? Also didn’t the “Gripper” invite Eazy-E of NWA fame to the White House, didn’t he have lunch with Bush Sr.-WTF!
Conspiracies are what they are. It’s having a grain of truth, nothing more. You can choose to believe what you like. Pakistani newspapers reported they’ve killed Osama. Then they report American forces swooped in and took all the credit as well as the glory. This is a bad skit by Mohammad Saeed Al-Sahhaf, Iraq’s former Information Minister-WTF!
I always laugh at this that is apologies. Apple is now saying that what was reported about them tracking users was only partly true. They are allowing fixes to correct the problem. Well wouldn’t you know it didn’t fix the problem it only exacerbated it-WTF!
