Vice-president, Joe Biden made a speech and got Repubs beside themselves. He made a reference; here read it for yourself … “They’ve said it. Every Republican’s voted for it. Look at what they value and look at their budget and what they’re proposing. Romney wants to let the—he said in the first 100 days, he’s going to let the big banks once again write their own rules–unchain Wall Street. They’re going to put y’all back in chains. He’s said he’s going to do nothing about stopping the practice of outsourcing.”

I don’t like the use of the words slave or shackles especially if it involves something for political gain. It cheapens the fact that slavery occurred. Meanwhile Paul Ryan says our rights come from God not government, I beg to differ. That language is uncalled for and overall  it’s stupid. The second part of this equation bothers me. I love the righteous indignation of Romney. He makes inflammatory comments, or should I say his advisers have made  mishaps either purposely or inadvertently. Let’s take a look at two  things that were said, “We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and he [Romney] feels that the special relationship is special;” how insensitive is that. Now he’s fanning fake outrage, give me a break.

Let’s talk about oatmeal man! Oatmeal man is a word used by the great Gil Scott Heron, it is a term deemed for ghost politicians.

Anytime you find someone in the middle
Anytime you find someone who is tepid
Anytime you find someone who is lukewarm
Anytime you find someone who has been in Congress for 25(Ryan 14 yrs) years and no one ever heard of him, you’ve got Oatmeal Man.

Ryan is 14 years deep in Congress and we still had to Wikipedia him to find out who he is. More people Goggled for pics of his shirt off than his policies. It’s simple, he’s a big government guy who likes to spend without methods to pay for it and simply leave it to the (surps) to pay it back. Let me get this straight, a man who has only had two bill passed and the two that passed are debatable; talk about  a welfare queen; Ryan is their poster boy. This is the guy with big ideas who give credibility to the Grand Old Party, with only his record to run on the party is anemic and sick. As I look at the talking head shows, Repubs are all in lock-step. They are so convinced they could pass a lie detector test without fail. As they say in streets, “this is a fail.”

We’ve now gone from global warming to climate change. Doesn’t matter if you care about semantics or not. Weather we want to face it or not change is inevitable because of our warm weather. Here in North Carolina last year we had the mildest winter ever. We probably had two weeks of cold weather. I understand NC is considered sub-tropical but we had never experienced weather like this; it was uncanny. I look at it like this way and not  as some junk science. Storms are more severe because of warmer temps in the oceans which cause storms to be more powerful and dangerous. We have to learn to accept simple truths not conspiracies about weather and weather patterns. We can’t deny in our cities record consecutive day temps of 100 degrees are now being broken. Lastly, I mentioned conspiracies, a lot has been written about Greenland and rightfully so. Is this exceptional or normal? I say normal, it generally occurs every 150 years, see; no conspiracy.

Notice what strange bed fellows Repubs have. They are nominal Christians, but love Ayn Rand. They are against homosexuals but love John Maynard Keynes(Keynesian) who happened to be gay before he married Lydia Lopokova. Just a thought I wanted to share….Cheers!
