A former chief of staff for President George W. Bush says that Jeb Bush should have acted faster in cleaning up his answer about whether he would have had the United States invade Iraq in 2003 knowing what he knows now.
“I think that he heard the question that he answered. He didn’t hear the real question that was asked,” former White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “I don’t think George W. Bush would say knowing now, he would have made that decision,” Card said, adding that he thought Jeb’s older brother would not have taken as long to clarify.
