Mr. Bowtie returns to speak out on Michael Vick saying, in his personal opinion, Vick should have been executed for the things he did to dogs. Let’s backtrack a bit on this topic shall we?
Unless you’ve been living under a rock you know that President Obama spoke by phone with Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie about Lurie’s plan to use alternative energy at Lincoln Financial Field and the conversation segue into the President thanking the owner for giving Vick a second chance in spite of his horrible crime. Fast forward a news cycle or two and it’s turned into the President somehow condoning Vick’s crime. As expected Fox News had a field day with it, Megyn Kelly described every act he did to the dogs and suggested that there were plenty of others more fitting of praise from Obama except, Megyn, the President is a grown man and a citizen and he can praise whomever he wants. But the harshest criticism came from Tucker Carlson who was filling in for Sean Hannity on Hannity Tonight.
It’s not that Tucker doesn’t believe in second chances; just not for Vick. This from the man who’s worked at and been “fired” from every legitimate news organization and ends up a partisan hack over at Fox News. It must be nice to have a father who was once the president of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and a mother who is the heiress to the Swanson food-conglomerate fortune to ease the financial pain during those transitional periods. Tucker is a hypocrite he didn’t speak out on the atrocities of Robert Novak, Carl Rove or Dick Cheney in outing CIA agent Valerie Plame. Here’s what he said about that issue…”And if you‘re going to make all this noise about the Valerie Plame leak being damaging to national security—and, incidentally, there is evidence that it wasn‘t—the CIA in fact did an internal assessment of the damage done and found not very much at all. This is irresponsible reporting. Tucker downplays what her role was and what she had done for the country.
Tucker also forgot to mention the Washington Post article where the CIA said the damage from her outing was serious enough to warrant an investigation by the Justice Department. A two-year investigation produced a five-count indictment against Scooter Libby none of which included the charge of breaking the law that protects the identities of undercover operatives. Shouldn’t they have been executed for outing CIA agent Valerie Plame and endangering her life?
In no way do we condone what Vick did but the man has paid his debt to society and deserves the chance to move on like any other citizen.
For the most part dogs are property. We have to be careful with people’s property. Pets should be loved and taken care of but I’m pretty sure dog fighting was nothing new for Mike Vick. He probably grew up with dog fighting, it’s a major business, especially down south. Why doesn’t Tucker speak out on hunting dogs being mauled by hogs and bears. Why doesn’t he speak out on cock-fighting which is still a huge business as well as bull fighting. How barbaric is that sport?
Tucker, what a snobbish name, for a snobbish guy. You lose us when you say you’re a Christian but you do not believe Mr.Vick should be forgiven and moreover executed. The conversation the President had was a private call that the owner leaked to a local station. The Bible is a book that speaks of forgiveness, it teaches us not to hold grudges. Tucker you need to study about the life of the Apostle Paul who had Christians persecuted. Here’s a man who had humans not animals killed. He wrote more books in the New Testament than any other author. Let’s take another look at the comment you made concerning what he did as unforgivable in relation to the scriptures. There is only one sin that is unforgivable, that would be blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
Tucker be careful what you say about being a Christian because with that comes a certain responsibility, at least know what you’re talking about in relation to the Bible.
Update: America’s oldest teenager walked back his statement on wanting quarterback Mike Vick executed. “Of course I don’t think he should be executed”, said Carlson. Watch the video at the Huffington Post.

What a joke! Fox news, dogfighting, Christianity, race in America..More important than deciding how Vick should punished is deciding who’s given the right report our news…
