What can we say about the beautiful little Gabby Douglas, except she’s a two-time Olympic gold medal winner. That should be it for the story, but wait there’s more. Twitter was ablaze concerning her hair, not about her winning two gold medals but her hair. First off, she’s only 16, she’s young still trying to find her place in this great con called life. I’m sure this isn’t the first time she’s heard comments about her hair. This young lady is being critiqued not about her performance but again, her hair.  Black women should be ashamed of themselves, I would love to see pics. of the people yapping. In defense of young Gabby, she’s getting ready to worth about $10 million for her efforts. For the rest of the hens, how was your day?

Also, I can’t allow David Webb to get away with his comments, “What we’re seeing is this kind of soft anti-American feeling, that Americans can’t show our exceptionalism. And frankly, if they are offended about us showing our exceptionalism, then they have that right and I don’t care. And neither do most Americans. That’s a fact. We’ve also lost over time that jingoistic feeling. You know, the National Anthem, we sing it at baseball games. I think the National Anthem should be followed with, “Play ball.” It’s kind of an American thing. We’ve lost a little of that, you know, saying The Pledge of Allegiance. And I think that plays over into some of this soft acceptance. You know what? Red, white and blue — wear it. Wave it. Be proud to be an American. It’s not a political issue. But they make it a social issue.” Bruh, David, nothing is stopping you from worshiping the state, have at it. What more can I really say about Webb, except he thinks he’s accepted, how pathetic. Continue criticizing your own kind, you will be accepted for a brief moment. Continuing licking the boots of your benefactor. I leave Gabby Douglas with the words of India Arie’s…I am not my hair.

Good hair means curls and waves.
Bad hair means you look like a slave
At the turn of the century
Its time for us to redefine who we be
You can shave it off like a South African beauty
Got in on “loc” like Bob Marley
You can rock it straight like Oprah Winfrey
It’s not what’s on your head, it’s what’s underneath (say hey)

I am not my hair
I am not this skin
I am not your expectations (no)
I am not my hair
I am not this skin
I am the soul that lives within

I’m tired of the argument that blacks are uninformed when it comes to the political process; this is laughable at best. A buddy of mine made the comment about blacks supporting Obama. My question, what about whites not supporting Obama? If you have read this site, you will know I don’t like either party: equally. The whole political process is upside down with no hope in the foreseeable  future. My issue stems from history. After the drafting of the Constitution( a useless piece of powerless paper) only white men had the right to vote and only the 10 percent  who were privileged landowners were allowed to vote. The other 90% were considered ignorant and too dumb to vote. Yet, some whites still feel they are more privileged than others. America has been a failed state and experiment for some time by the same people who have destroyed this country mightily. It’s amazing with all that has gone on and continues to go on, we are still stuck in the middle. America is the melting pot, a land of immigrants. Let’s get back to the business of wholeness.
